Meet Rosa Ree – Tanzania’s Goddess of Rap
Rosa Ree, born Rosary Robert Iwole, is a Tanzanian rapper whose unapologetic energy and powerful lyrics have made her one of Africa’s top female artists. Starting in 2015, Rosa Ree quickly rose through the ranks of the music industry after her debut single One Time took over the Tanzanian music scene. Known for pushing boundaries and addressing gender stereotypes in a male-dominated industry, she uses her music to inspire independence and empowerment, especially for women.
In 2020, Rosa Ree gained international recognition after being featured in the BET Hip Hop Cypher alongside artists from across Africa, cementing her place on the global stage.
